Join us at the New Market Area Library on Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 pm as we host Christine Jorgensen, Extension Master Gardener with the Northern Shenandoah Valley Master Gardener Association. Her talk is entitled "Rain Gardens and Why They Matter." Learn the purpose of rain gardens as well as their value in the landscape. A tour of the rain gardens at the library will follow the talk, weather permitting. This program is free, and no registration is required. 

The New Market Area Library hosts two, monthly storytime programs for children. Books and Babies is held the first Wednesday of each month through May at 10 AM for ages birth to three. Preschool Storytime is held on the third Friday of each month through May at 10 AM for ages three to five.

For children's storytimes, if Shenandoah County Schools are closed, the storytime is cancelled.  If schools are going late, storytime will be held.
