(A) Checking in books, magazines and any item without a disc(s)
- Scan the item’s barcode in the Check-In (F3) screen.
- If a pop-up message occurs, follow directions and/or resolve situation
- If correctly checked in, the title, etc. of item will appear on the screen
(B) Checking in DVDs, Books on CD, Children’s kits with CDs, and Music CDs
- Count the number of discs to determine that all discs are in the case/kit.
- If a disc is missing, click cancel and do not check in the item. Call the patron and inform him/her of the missing disc and explain that the item will not be checked in until all disc are there. If necessary, renew the item.
- Scan the barcode in the Check-In (F3) screen.
- If a pop-up message occurs, follow directions and/or resolve situation. If multiple discs are in the case, this pop-up should verify the number. If the correct number of discs is in the case, continue with the check-in. If discs are missing, click Cancel.
- If correctly checked in, the title, etc. of item will appear on the screen
(C) Checking in Baby Booster Boxes / Literacy Bags
- Verify that all materials are in the box/bag by checking the list in/on the box/bag.
- If any materials are missing, do not check in the box/bag
Call the patron and inform her/him of the missing item(s) and explain that the box/bag will not be checked in until it is complete. If necessary, renew the item. - Scan the barcode in the Check-In (F3) screen.
- For boxes, the barcode is located on the box itself.
- For literacy bags, the barcode is located on the paper listing the bag’s contents.

- If correctly checked in, the title, etc. of item will appear on the screen
