Checking Out Materials

Checking out books, magazines, DVDs, Books on CD, Children’s kits with CDs, and Music CDs

1. Scan the patron’s card in the Check-Out (F2) screen. After scanning, your cursor will automatically go to the Search for Title by Default field.
2. Scan the barcode of the item.
3. If a pop-up message occurs, follow directions and/or resolve situation.
4. If correctly checked out, the title, etc. of item will appear on the screen.

Checking out Baby Booster Boxes / Literacy Bags

1. Scan the patron’s card in the Check-Out (F2) screen. After scanning, your cursor will automatically go to the Search for Title by Default field.
2. Scan the barcode of the item.
   • For boxes, the barcode is located on the box itself.
   • For literacy bags, the barcode is located on the paper listing the bag’s contents.
3. If a Pop-up message occurs, follow directions and/or resolve situation.
4. If correctly checked out, the title, etc. of the item will appear on the screen.
