No Matching Results

When the No Matching Results message pops up on the screen, verify the following:

  1. Verify that you are on the correct screen (Check Out Items (F2)Check In Items (F3), or View Title And Items (F4))
  2. Verify that Default is checked on the drop down menu.  If you are not searching for borrower by Default, use the magnifying glass icon to the left to choose the correct option from the drop down menu.
  3. Scan barcode again to determine if scanner didn’t read the bar code correctly
    1. If the bar code is old or damaged, type in the bar code
    2. If the bar code is accepted when you type it in, notify your manager for him/her to make a decision about replacing the barcode
  4. If the message pops up again, that means the item has been deleted from the catalog or was never cataloged
  5. If the item has been deleted due to long overdue status and the patron has been charged for the cost of replacement, do not waive the fines.
  6. Give the item to your manager for him/her to decide on the next course of action
